Regional carrier LIAT has informed of an incident involving its LI 775 aircraft which was en route from Antigua to Trinidad via St. Lucia today, Monday, January 27, 2014.
According to the airline in a press release, “shortly before 11 a.m. the aircraft developed a steering defect while taxiing at the V.C. Bird International Airport. The aircraft was moved to the ramp where it’s being examined by the company’s maintenance staff and will undergo the necessary repairs before being returned to service.”
The airline said that passengers are being accommodated on other LIAT services.
