The Saint Lucia Labour Party has announced that its 2013 Annual Conference of Delegates which was delayed from last year will be held on Sunday March 2, 2014 at the old boys’ school at Reunion, Choiseul.
The conference, which is expected to begin at 9.30 a.m. will be divided into a closed (business) session in the pre-lunch period, and an open session after lunch.
The closed session will be attended only by delegates of the party’s 17 constituency groups.
During that session, delegates will be presented with reports from the National Executive Committee, the Party Treasurer and the Presidents of the Party’s Auxiliary Organizations: The Saint Lucia Labour Party Youth Organization (SLPYO) and the St. Lucia Labour Party Women’s Organization (SLPWO). The Pre-lunch session will also include the election of officers and discussion of reports and resolutions.
Supporters and well-wishers have been invited to the open session, which is expected to begin at 3 p.m. The main features of the open session will be an address to be delivered by a Featured Speaker and the Political Leader’s Annual Address by Dr. Kenny D. Anthony. Some items of entertainment will also form part of the open session.
