Bay Gardens Resort has said it has received tremendous support since receiving the 2014 St. Lucia Business Awards most prestigious title – Business of the Year.
Its owner Joyce Destang also secured the award for Entrepreneur of the Year. This, according to the company, came as a “pleasant surprise.”
“It’s a wonderful feeling,” commented Executive Director, Sanovnik Destang. She proudly received the Business of the Year award on behalf of resort at the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Business’ fifth annual business awards at the Gaiety in Rodney Bay on Saturday, January 25, 2014.
“On one hand I was shocked because we were up against some tough competition, but on the other hand, I knew we had a really good chance of receiving the award; our staff, managers and HOD’s [Heads of Departments] work diligently every day to ensure that we maintain our high service and business standards.”
Bay Gardens was also a finalist in the categories of Service Excellence, Marketing Excellence and Corporate Leadership (Sanovnik Destang).
Since the event, the organization has received numerous phone calls, Facebook messages and emails congratulating its success. Both the staff and management team are said to be thrilled to know that their hard-work has paid off.
“Both of these awards belong to every one of my employees at Bay Gardens Resorts,” said Joyce, “I’m proud of each and every person who has contributed to the success of our company and I know it’s only going to get better from here.”
At last year’s ceremony, Bay Gardens Resorts was the proud recipient of St. Lucia’s 2013 Marketing Excellence Award. Soon after, the company was also presented with four 2013 TripAdvisor Certificates of Excellence and just last week, they received the WeddingWire.com Couple’s Choice Award, which recognized its wedding services as amongst the top 5% of those offered nationwide.
For all of the recent support and awards, as well as the past 20 years of loyal business in the accommodation, restaurant and conference markets, Bay Gardens Resorts has extended appreciation to staff, partners and customers.
In celebration of its recent successes, the resort has decided to reduce its Staycation rates at all three Rodney Bay properties for the month of February.
