STATEMENT - Recently the General Secretary (Acting) of the CSA made a statement to the Media claiming that all was well at the CSA.
Please be informed that the matter concerning the request from the Group of Four (4) Financial Members to inspect the “books of Accounts” is not over.
Despite our several requests and the intervention of the Registrar of Trade Unions, Mary Isaac and Company have refused to make the “books of accounts” available for inspection. The unanswered question is: what is contained in the “books of accounts” that Mary Isaac and company are refusing to make them available for inspection?
As a consequence our solicitors have written to the Secretary of the CSA, demanding the “book of accounts” by today April 30th, 2015.
There have been claims by the Executive Council that we do not possess the necessary qualifications for this inspection.
First and foremost the sole criterion in accordance with CSA’s Constitution for members to qualify for inspection of books of accounts is being “financial”. Secondly the chief architect of the current accounting system which underpins CSA’s financial statements in one of our members. Thirdly, the combined qualification and experience of the group of members in field of financial management, accounting and auditing is difficult match by any other such group.
In addition, we have been reliably informed that the Executive Council of CSA met recently to discuss the possible expulsion of the members of the Concerned Group because we have rightfully invoked the relevant sections of the CSA’s Constitution.
We are willing to go to any height and any depth to ensure “books of accounts” are made available for inspection.
Should the Executive Council choose to continue on their path of the implosion and final destruction of the CSA by undermining the member’s rights under the constitution, in addition to their pursuance of our expulsion, they are free to do so at their own peril…..they can “Go ahead and make our day.”
