PRESS RELEASE - Two top projects from the Sagicor/National Schools` Science and Technology Fair 2014 were entered in the “24th International Research Projects Contest held by MEF Education Institutions among its high school students.
This competition will be held in Istanbul, Turkey from the 2nd-9th May 2015.
One of the projects done by Gaius St Marie named “Rhizobacteria as a Corn Growth Promoter” which was sent in the branch of “BIOLOGY” has been deemed worthy of exhibition by the members of the Science Board of MEF Education Institutions.
Gaius St Marie and Mr Motielall Singh will accompany this project to Turkey on May 2nd 2015 to compete with over one hundred (100) projects from the rest of the world.
In addition, this is the only project that has been qualified from the Caribbean, so it`s a great opportunity to promote St Lucia and the region.
This trip was possible due to corporate sponsorships from St Lucia National Lottery, Flow, Bay Gardens Hotel, Sagicor Life and Trophy Centre.
