The Saint Lucia National Cricket Association, preparing for the 2015 Windward Islands Lotteries Under-19 tournament, played two more limited overs trial matches on the weekend at the Gros Islet Playing Field:
On Saturday, Christian Charlery’s XI was 196 all out in 43 overs. Nixon Edmund top scored with 48, Stuart Caldron 25, Christian Charlery and Daniel Jn Baptiste score 18 each, Nick Elibox and Keegan Patrrick score 17 runs each.
Bowling for Kester Charlemagne’s XI, the skipper from Millet took four wickets, Simeon Gerson, Simeon Dalkan, Kimani Charlery and Johnnel Eugene took one wicket each.
In reply Charlemagne’s XI made 199 for 7 in 38 overs. Vernillius Gabriel top scored with an unbeaten 53, Denzel James was not out 42, Kester Charlemagne 29, Kimani Melius 21, and Johnnel Eugene 13. Joshua Mann took four wickets; Daniel Jn Baptiste, Shardrack Descartes and Stuart Caldron took one wicket each.
On Sunday, the Charley XI scored 215 in 39.3 overs. Descartes top scored with 68. Nixon Edmund added 35, Christian Charlery 33, and Joshua Mann 18. Selwyn Boyce took two for 45, Johnnel Eugene two for 40, Christopher Albert, Collinus Callender and Simeon Gerson captured one wicket apiece.
In reply, the Charlemagne XI made 189 for 4 in 37 overs. Jard Goodman top scored with 46, Kimani Melius 41 and Collinus Callender 32. Joshua Mann took two for 30 and Keegan Patrick one for 39.
